Most text on this site is black on pale background for maximum readability. Links are mostly dark red if you\'ve never used it, dark blue if you have. Point your mouse over a link and your cursor changes and the color changes. The purple links in table headings are actually sort buttons—they will order the table according to the column clicked.

Almost any name is a link, either to information about the person or to a list of persons having that name. A place name typically links to a list of events that occurred at that place. And a date will give you a list of events that happened on that date.
